Autumn Leaves

VIEWS

When swords were a weapon and quills were not, we had people to rule us. Now that we're independent, it implies that we need to pick up the pieces scattered around, fix them up and use the other instrument to enlighten the world. You see, a pen wouldn't ever dominate the world, because in the end, it's all up to us when we start to give it a flow.

We write to express, don't we? Moreover, in our nation (India), we've been reading a lot, because we've got a lot to write about. A land where positive and negative, both of the things have prevailed since a long time, books have always been there to shed light upon it. When it comes to perception and tracing ourselves back in history, poetry played an important part. We write in English these days and languages of poetry like Urdu, Sanskrit, they're fading away eventually. This has been pressurised on the teenage shoulder as if we were meant to ink our feelings in a certain language. We ain't Britishers, are we? But well, judging is their job so tell them, the English judged us as Asians, having a typical accent. So we might be supporting the English language, but who's supporting the English nature?

With all due respect, our Prime Minister (Mr. Narendra Modi) says that the use of products that are manufactured in our country should be promoted and not the foreign items. Okay, but what about the foreign perspective with which you look at things when you blame a girl for being indulged in the western culture, wearing a crop top and shorts, getting raped. I don’t think this happens in other countries. At least robberies are better than this which happen in different nations. I'll tell you why and hear me out on this, because when the rich ones are looted to get money by the ones who need it, they're probably doing a good deed. Too practical for a view? But you get what you give, don't you? Anyway, too much of money in one pocket is gonna get confiscated by the government saying that it's black and it'll just remain that way, in the dark. It's better that a stomach is filled with that.

Believe me, this thing didn't come from my heart, neither from my mind, it came from the gut. We just don't need to change anything, but WRITE, as much as we can. This piece is all for the ones who write. Express what you feel, men and women. Because if each and every person starts doing this, one day the nation would have to read it, and it'll open their eyes. Because not the government, but the layman is more powerful and it's always gonna stay that way.
